Nadia

Nadia is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Longevity Health and Fitness. She specialises in cardiopulmonary and neurological rehabilitation, working with individuals of all ages who have chronic health conditions and layered diagnoses. Nadia’s approach is empathic, patient-centred, and evidence-based, ensuring that her patients receive compassionate and effective care tailored to their specific situations.

Nadia works with a broad and diverse client base, managing a range of conditions such as cardiovascular disease, COPD, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis, arthritis, and mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression. With a special interest in neurological and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, she particularly enjoys working with older adults and those navigating multi-layered health challenges.

Her approach to exercise prescription is highly individualised and goal-oriented, with a focus on functional outcomes and long-term quality of life. Nadia incorporates a variety of evidence-based modalities, including strength and resistance training, balance and coordination exercises and cardiovascular conditioning. She places a strong emphasis on clinical safety, education, and motivating clients to take an active role in their health.

Her clinical experience spans community health, paediatrics, Indigenous healthcare, and inpatient mental health settings. She works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams – alongside physiotherapists, psychologists, case managers, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated, patient-centred care. Nadia also utilises motivational interviewing and health coaching as key tools to support lasting behaviour change and improved client outcomes.

Beyond individual therapy, Nadia was a lead facilitator of Australia’s first intergenerational health program uniting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals across age groups. In this role, she conceptualised and implemented a culturally responsive program within a clinical setting, developed outcome measures, and oversaw its delivery across multiple sites. The program demonstrated significant improvements in intergenerational connectedness, reduced loneliness in older adults, and enhanced cultural awareness in younger participants. Nadia also completed formal training in intergenerational practice to complement this work.

In addition, she has delivered group education sessions on cardiovascular and pulmonary health, facilitated hydrotherapy classes for chronic disease management, and contributed to concussion research at Queensland University of Technology, conducting assessments on athletes. Her clinical placements in adolescent mental health inpatient units and school-based athletic programs have equipped her with adaptable skills for working with diverse populations in both clinical and performance settings.

Nadia is passionate about the role of exercise in restoring health, building resilience, and enhancing mental well-being. She is committed to using exercise as medicine and is dedicated to helping clients live more independently, confidently, and actively through personalised, evidence-informed care.

Success stories

Felicity initially came to us to build her strength and maintain her independence at home. Her goals shifted when she was diagnosed with cancer, changing her journey from a physical one to one that was more holistic and supportive. Our program was immediately tailored to her changing needs. We provided emotional support and guidance to help her prepare for surgery and understand the steps ahead.

When Jane started with us, she was juggling a lot. She was on GLP-1 medication for weight loss and was also recovering from a cardiac ablation. Our initial goal was to help her build strength, support her recovery, and aid in healthy weight loss. We successfully helped her lose 10 pounds and significantly built her strength in the early stages.

Kamlesh first joined Longevity over a year ago when she was facing a severe decline in her mobility and independence due to the debilitating pain caused by Arthritis throughout her body. She initially presented with limited mobility – barely being able to rise from a chair, had a shuffling gait and was unable to lift arms above shoulder height due to pain and stiffness.

Nadia has been an incredible support through some really big life events. She doesn’t just focus on the exercise; she always takes the time to listen and genuinely reassure me. She’s helped me understand some confusing medical results and has been a huge source of emotional support while waiting for appointments. Our sessions are always perfectly balanced – I get the movement I need without ever feeling exhausted. I always leave feeling completely at ease and supported.

Nadia has been fantastic! She is extremely motivating and understanding of the limitations of 68 & 71 year olds but, always finds a way to work around our particular issues. She is also great fun.
