Maisie

Maisie is a clinical exercise physiologist at Longevity Health and Fitness. Maisie works alongside a range of clients, with a particular focus on cardiac rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation and active ageing.

Over the years, Maisie has had the privilege to work with a diverse range of clients including:

Individuals with chronic conditions, e.g. arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.

Pre or post rehabilitation: collaborating with physiotherapists or case managers to help clients regain strength, mobility and confidence pre or post surgeries using functional exercises and progressive training regimes.

Senior and ageing populations: working with older adults to improve balance, flexibility, and strength, to reduce the risk of falls and improve overall quality of life through evidence-based practice.

Her approach is grounded in understanding that no two individuals are the same. Maisie takes a comprehensive and holistic approach, integrating personalised assessments and safe progression.

Maisie has previously worked in multidisciplinary teams requiring a collaborative approach, working alongside allied health and medical practitioners. Maisie provides a positive approach, with a philosophy based around educating clients on the importance of the physical, mental, and social benefits exercise can provide, adopting the ethos that everyone can benefit from the effects of exercise in more ways than one.

Maisie teaches prostate cancer classes, has ran the London Marathon raising £2000 for charity and attends ongoing training. In 2020, she represented GB duathlon for her age group.

Maisie is deeply passionate about empowering clients to take charge of their health and well-being. By providing personalised guidance and support, she helps them make sustainable changes that not only enhance their physical health but also improve their overall quality of life.

Success stories

Melissa is 45 and lives with learning difficulties. When she first reached out for support, her biggest barrier wasn’t physical strength or fitness, but a deep fear of using escalators. This phobia meant she was unable to use the London Underground, significantly limiting her independence and confidence when travelling around the city.
