Julie

Julie is a Clinical Exercise Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist at Longevity Health and Fitness, with more than 20 years of experience helping clients manage health conditions, recover from injury, and improve overall wellbeing. She specialises in neurological rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, sports injury prevention, active ageing, and mental health support.

Her career spans a wide range of settings, including the NHS, corporate wellness, health clubs, spas, schools, gyms, and even cruise ships. Julie has worked closely with physiotherapists at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, where she has supported dancers, singers, and actors aged 7–19 with injury prevention and rehabilitation programmes tailored to the unique demands of performing arts.

Julie has extensive experience working with individuals living with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, cardiac conditions, and type 2 diabetes. She combines exercise modalities such as strength training, balance work, cardiovascular conditioning, stretching, massage, and mindfulness to deliver holistic, client-centred care. Her philosophy is that “one size does not fit all” — each programme is designed step by step, adapting to the client’s needs, goals, and progress.

She has also managed and delivered the NHS Healthier You – National Diabetes Prevention Programme, both in-person and online. This 12-week initiative focused on physical activity, nutrition, and mindfulness to support long-term health and reduce diabetes risk.

Julie is known for her approachable, trustworthy nature and ability to build strong professional relationships with her clients. She takes pride in supporting people to gain confidence, independence, and strength, empowering them to enjoy healthier lifestyles and engage fully in their communities. Seeing clients progress and witnessing the positive changes exercise brings to their physical and mental health is what gives her the greatest satisfaction.

Specialised exercise for health conditions and well-being

Your health today doesn’t have to limit your tomorrow. Our clinical exercise programs are tailored to support you, considering any health challenges or considerations you may have.

“I found Longevity by chance when looking for an exercise professional who could understand the needs of my husband. He had a stroke many years ago, has mobility limitations and overall osteoarthritis. He was becoming less and less active and I needed to find the right person to gently motivate and push him. It has made such a difference to his strength and stamina and is allowing him to maintain more independence. I couldn’t recommend Longevity enough!”
