Kelly
Kelly is a clinical exercise trainer at Longevity Health and Fitness. She works with clients navigating a wide range of health conditions, with a particular focus on neurological rehabilitation, amputee and general injury rehabilitation.
She has a passion for working with complex individual needs, including amputees, stroke, Parkinson’s patients and those with general injuries. Her approach to exercise prescription is person-centred to meet the individual demands of my patients. With a main focus on independence, confidence and improved quality of life.
Kelly uses a wide range of modalities such as balance, confidence in walking, strength training, mobility and functional movement. All programmes are tailored to the individual’s goals, abilities and health.
Regularly working alongside physiotherapists, doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the training and care she delivers is optimal. Additionally, lecturing at a university allows Kelly to keep up to date with current research in training methods and clinical practice, allowing her to also take part in some of the current research in clinical exercise and complex health considerations.
Kelly thoroughly enjoys working with special populations and seeing the positive impact exercise can have on both physical and well-being. Her experience with complex conditions gives me a broad understanding of how to adapt training programmes effectively for different individual needs.
