When Diala first came to us, she was struggling after a recent menopause diagnosis. She was dealing with terrible fatigue, poor sleep, and generally felt uncomfortable and sluggish in her own body. She shared that she no longer had the motivation or energy for the exercises she used to enjoy. Dealing with this new stage of life required us to provide gentle reassurance and a lot of emotional support during every session. As a busy, working mother, our primary goal was to create a manageable, reliable plan that could easily fit into her demanding schedule.
Diala’s journey immediately focused on supportive, holistic care, not demanding workouts. We had to shift her entire approach from intense exercise to one that prioritised energy management and mental well-being while slowly building back her strength. To better suit her packed days, we used online sessions. Crucially, before starting any workout, we took the time to assess her current fatigue levels and mood – this dictated exactly what we did that day. This personalised, adaptive approach was essential; it ensured she benefited from the movement without ever being overexerted, which would have only made her symptoms worse.
Over time, Diala was able to gain her confidence back with her body image through reassurance and movement. She was able to commence a consistent exercise routine outside of our sessions that fits perfectly into her weekly schedule, making her feel more alert and energised and giving her back confidence in her everyday life. Her journey demonstrates how our tailored, empathetic guidance can transform challenges to improve overall quality of life.
